Johnstown Fireman’s Festival

The 37th Annual Johnstown Fireman’s Festival is set for Wednesday through June 23 next to the square in the heart of Johnstown.

The festivities begin with the 2012 Miss Johnstown Pageant at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnstown High School Performing Arts Center. Admission is $3; free for children age 12 or younger.

Contestants are Kaitlyn Hoderfield, Brooke Linton, Riley McMahon, Kali Panza, Courtney Rose and Shelby Vinken.

Opening hours will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Wednesday, with Lori Ferguson providing country music from 8 to 10 p.m.

June 21 hours are from 6 p.m. to midnight, with Linnville Pike Bluegrass providing entertainment from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

On June 22, the festival will open at 6 p.m., with the Big Red Band playing at 6 p.m. before the cake auction. LOBOZ will play blues and country rock from 8 to 11:30 p.m.

On June 23, the festival opens and the parade begins at noon. Dr. Joseph Urdock is the parade grand marshal. Taylor Station will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight.
