The Village of Johnstown is a full service community serving a resident population of 4,647. The village employees 40 full time staff. Operations are segregated into five departments. Please use the related links in the menu to view information about individual Village departments.
The mission of the Administrative services department is to provide the residents of the Village with quality public services in an efficient and effective manner that is accomplished by forming cooperative partnerships with public, private and civic organizations.
The Department of Finance’s responsibility is to safeguard and maintain the accountability and integrity of the Village’s funds and fiscal management.
Whether you’re a developer, business owner or resident, our goal is to provide helpful information about our department. The Planning and Zoning Department works closely with other Village Staff, the Village Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The Johnstown Police Department is charged with the responsibility of providing professional, efficient and organized police protection along with community police related services to the citizens of Johnstown, Ohio.
The Village of Johnstown offers many recreational programs throughout the year. Most programs are held at the Recreation Center, 185 West Maple Street. Fees may be accessed.
The service department is committed to total customer satisfaction.
Big O Refuse has been the contracted trash hauler for the Village of Johnstown residents since April 1, 2010. Each resident receives a new toter and recycle bin.
